Patient ratios are 1:4, but can go up to 1:5. Floating is required to all inpatient and emergency department areas. Types of patients include those with Congestive Heart Failure, Ablation, Angiogram, Transcarotid Artery Revascularization, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Stroke, Pacemaker needs, and Sepsis. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
