Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Materials Preparation Specialist will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and staging materials for production, shipping, installation, or customer orders. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Duties:

• Accurately perform inventory handling, timely material delivery, and compliance with company safety and quality standards
• Receive, inspect incoming material and supplies for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to management
• Pick, pull, and prepare materials according to work orders, production schedules, or customer requirements
• Assemble, package, label, and stage materials for shipment or production use
• Maintain accurate inventory records through manual and/or computerized inventory systems
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as required 
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are properly secured and documented
• Organize warehouse storage areas to max efficiency and maintain cleanliness
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure material availability and workflow efficiency
• Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, inventory, material handling, or logistics experience is preferred
• Must have the ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, and inventory documentation
• Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred
• Must be able to pay a high attention to detail while being organized and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed
• Must be able to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
