Schedule Monday – Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm; weekend work when needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES Personal care: baths (bed, tub, shower), back rubs, oral hygiene, changing bed linen, dressing & undressing, grooming (hair, nails, skin care), toileting, and feeding assistance. Assist patient in moving from bed to chair, wheelchair, and walking. Report changes in patient’s needs and condition to the supervising nurse. Perform range of motion and simple procedures as an extension of therapy services as ordered. Record patient care activities daily. Participate in case conferences. Prioritize work and care tasks to ensure all duties and patient visits are completed on time. Adhere to organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of professional conduct. Attend a minimum of twelve (12) hours of in‑service annually. Participate in meetings as requested by the Clinical Director/Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Completion of an approved training program in home health services to become a personal care aide, or licensed as a Certified Nurse Aide. Ideal candidate will have direct hospice experience as a CNA. Empathy for the needs of the ill, frail, and impaired. Clear communication of patient condition information. Initiative to work with minimal direct supervision. Read, write, and communicate in English. Reliable transportation and a smartphone. Experience Caregiving – 2 years (required). EMR systems – 1 year (preferred). License / Certification CNA (required). Pay Starting at $18.00 – $23.00 per hour. Location Newport News area facility. #J-18808-Ljbffr
