Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for an acute care radiology department.

Details

• Acute care setting within the Radiology Ultrasound department
• 4 scanners/rooms in the department
• No floating to other areas required
• General ultrasound studies including abdominal (renal, liver, RUQ, spleen), vascular (carotid, femoral), PVR, venous reflux studies, early OB, OB anatomy, BPP, and TV
• Average of 12-14 scans/studies per day
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji PACS
• GE and Canon equipment
• M-F 8-hour shifts (varied), including rotating 8a-4:30p and 9:30a-6:00p shifts
• Rotation of night, weekend, and holiday on-call
• Weekend requirement includes call rotation
• No IV starts required
• No in-house radiologist
• No RRAs used in department

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• RDMS-AB certification via ARDMS required
• Breast certification also required
• RVT certification preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Department led by a Radiology Manager
• Black scrubs required; scrubs provided
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must live outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning
• Previous travelers who worked a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
