We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our instructional team as a History Teacher. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education to our students, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our school's goals. We recognize that the number one factor impacting student achievement is quality, presence, and effectiveness of every History teacher within the classroom. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Classroom Management: Effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Instructional Delivery: Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with state standards and the network-adopted subject-specific curriculum.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress regularly and provide individualized support and interventions as needed.
• Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and school staff.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the school's administrative and support staff to ensure student success.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative tasks such as taking attendance, collecting and distributing homework and materials, enforcing dress code, and maintaining classroom organization.

• Knowledge of public education and charter school movement, preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• California teaching credential or ability and willingness to obtain a California teaching permit/credential if not already credentialed.
• 1+ years of experience working at school sites or experience working with children/youth, preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with students.
• Demonstrated mastery of subject matter.
• Ability to follow established routines and procedures.
• Previous experience in charter schools, preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
• Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials.
• Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization.
• Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $96,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.

This is a full-time, exempt, 100% in-person position.
