We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part Time, Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our food service team in an assisted living community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in and following dietary guidelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to menu execution, ensure food safety standards, and support the overall dining experience through meal preparation and food handling. • Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards while meeting resident dietary needs.

  • Assist in menu planning by preparing components for daily service, special events, and themed parties.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols.

  • Support the kitchen team by executing cooking tasks efficiently while managing multiple priorities during busy periods.

  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation of all items prepared.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, timely delivery of meals and inventory management.

  • Follow all dietary and health regulations related to food handling, storage, and sanitation to uphold safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, healthcare settings, catering, or dietary departments is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.

• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus.

• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude toward collaborative kitchen environments.
