Permanent: OB Hospitalist Position in New York - 24-Hr Shifts

A medical center in the Bronx, New York, with an opening for an OB Hospitalist to join their team!

About the Position:

• Schedule: 24-hour shifts
• 1200 deliveries annually
• Post-partum rounding, census: 9 patients + babies
• Must be comfortable with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and triage management
• 2 fulltime OB Hospitalists
• EMR: Epic
• Board certification required
• Comprehensive benefits package

• 5 weeks of PTO + 2 weeks for CME

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered New York physician state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as OB Hospitalist
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
