Job Description Gamers Guild is seeking a detail‑oriented, creative, and community‑focused Event Coordinator to support our Events Director. You’ll help plan, schedule, and execute monthly events across tabletop, card games, and board games. This role is essential in keeping our event operations organized, our community informed, and our store buzzing with activity. Responsibilities Customer Service & Community Support Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. Assist with customer service emails related to events. Communicate with the community via Discord to answer event‑related questions. Maintain prompt and consistent communication with Ambassadors as directed by the Events Director. Support the Events Director in setting expectations for new and current Ambassadors. Help identify potential new Ambassadors to support growing game communities. Events Coordination Assist the Events Director in planning and scheduling gaming events (tournaments, workshops, demos, leagues, etc.). Update the store event calendar with weekly and one‑off events. Create and remove event ticket listings as needed. Coordinate with store management to ensure table space is allocated correctly and not overbooked. Support Member’s Night by helping coordinate catering, activities, and announcements. Ensure event materials are prepared by communicating needs to buyers, warehouse staff, and intake teams. Provide the Events Director and store management with updated timelines and event details. Marketing & Promotion The Events Coordinator plays a key role in bringing Gamers Guild events to life by helping amplify visibility, excitement, and community engagement. Working closely with the Events Director, this role contributes creative ideas, supports promotional efforts, and ensures our events reach the audiences who will love them most. Partner with the Marketing team to promote upcoming events through social media, in‑store signage, and community outreach, ensuring messaging aligns with Gamers Guild’s inclusive values and event goals. Collaborate with the Content team to support the creation of engaging event‑related content, such as photos, videos, highlights, and announcements that showcases our vibrant community. Design and publish monthly event announcement graphics for Discord, helping maintain clear, consistent, and visually appealing communication with our players and ambassadors. Organize, track, and maintain promotional materials, prizes, and event‑related stock so the Events Director and store team have everything needed for smooth, successful events. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, customer service, or a related field. Familiarity with the gaming industry and current trends is strongly preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive community. Health insurance; $140/month covered by the company. PTO up to 20 days/year depending on tenure. 5 days of sick time per year. Competitive pay based on experience.
