Government Professional for AI Research

Government professionals apply their policy, program, or client-service expertise to evaluate and improve how generative AI models understand and perform real-world public-sector tasks and language.

• Design and develop industry-specific prompts, scenarios, and tasks that reflect government workflows and client interactions.
• Evaluate large language model responses for accuracy, relevance, tone, and alignment with public-sector practice.
• Provide detailed feedback, annotations, and examples to help improve AI behavior on government-related tasks.
• Work asynchronously on project deliverables, adapting to different project scopes and instructions as needed.
• Learn and apply new evaluation techniques while contributing professional subject-matter expertise across multiple projects and industries.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following or similar roles: Child, Family, and School Social Worker; Recreation Workers; Administrative Services Managers; Rehabilitation Counselors; Eligibility Interviewers, Government Programs; Social and Community Service Managers.
• Experience translating everyday government work and client interactions into clear examples and instructions.
• Comfort participating in primarily asynchronous work and following project-specific guidelines in collaboration with AI research teams.

• Location: Remote, asynchronous work from any location.
• Employment type: Part-time.
• Flexible hours, with no minimum hourly commitment required.
• Projects are available year-round, with new opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.
• Placement into individual projects depends on project availability and fit with your background.

• Up to $120/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility and whether a CPT course requirement applies, because this program may not meet every schools CPT criteria.
• STEM OPT is not supported.

• Indicate interest in or apply to relevant projects, complete any project-specific onboarding, and accept assignments when available.
• Begin contributing to projects and receive payment according to the terms of each assignment.
