Quick Facts

• Location: 850 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855
• Start Date: 08/05/2026 (Orientation), with ongoing shifts
• End Date/Duration: Ongoing; 10-14 days per month
• Shift: 6am-6pm on-site; 6pm-6am on-call (24-hour coverage)
• Hours/Week: Approximately 40-56 hours
• Employment Type: Contract/Per Diem
• Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology, NRP certified, and relevant clinical skills (intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO).
• Experience: Preferred neonatology experience; able to support Level III NICU environment

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide expert neonatal care for critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU setting
• Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line insertion
• Manage respiratory support including ventilators, oscillators, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy
• Support stabilization and transport of surgical cases and complex neonates
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and specialists
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner electronic health records (EHR)
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and clinical team meetings

What You Need

• Valid license and certification in Neonatology (Board Certified preferred/Board Eligible)
• NRP certification required
• Proven skills in advanced neonatal procedures and ventilator management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
