The Kennel Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of multiple dogs by managing daily kennel operations. This position involves maintaining a clean and healthy environment, caring for animals, and providing excellent service during client drop-offs and pick-ups. Working within a small team, the technician supports kennel maintenance, feeding schedules, and record keeping using both paper-based and specialized software systems, with weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain daily kennel functions with a small team
• Provide care for several dogs simultaneously, including feeding and monitoring health
• Clean and sanitize kennels and facility areas to uphold hygiene standards
• Interact minimally with clients during dog drop-offs and pick-ups
• Schedule and document animal care activities using paper and software systems
• Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for dogs and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in animal care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in animal handling and sanitation procedures
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Effective time management and teamwork abilities
• Basic veterinary knowledge
