We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of injection molding equipment and related automation systems across the United States.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with injection molding machines, robotics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and auxiliary equipment. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, start up, and commission injection molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment, including dryers, chillers, mold temperature controllers (MTC), and granulators.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues using schematics, technical documentation, and OEM manuals.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve machine reliability.
• Conduct mold setup and optimize processing parameters, including temperature, pressure, speed, and cycle time, to achieve quality and production requirements.
• Diagnose recurring equipment and production issues, identify root causes, and develop effective corrective actions.
• Support machine upgrades, retrofits, modifications, and performance improvements.
• Provide on-site customer training covering machine operation, basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Complete service reports, work orders, maintenance records, and CRM updates accurately and on time.
• Maintain and manage spare parts requirements and coordinate with OEMs and parts suppliers when needed.
• Communicate critical production and quality issues promptly to QC and technical teams and assist with corrective actions.
• Follow all applicable OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), 5S, and cGMP requirements, particularly in medical and food-grade manufacturing environments.
• Work collaboratively with internal technical teams to investigate repeated failures and implement long-term solutions.
• Perform other duties and technical assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting injection molding machines and automation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience with injection molding processes, mold setup, and process parameter optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in customer facilities and travel extensively throughout the U.S.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with LOTO, OSHA, 5S, and cGMP is preferred.
• Experience using CRM/ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP is a plus.
