External Affairs Coordinator

Associate, External Affairs Location: Spartanburg, SC | Hybrid Employment type: Direct hire We’re looking for an organized, strong writer to support a growing External Affairs team. Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, you’ll help the Director and Community Relations Manager keep communications, events, and stakeholder activity moving. What you’ll do Draft FAQs, talking points, briefings, and other external communications. Help create content for social media, newsletters, and the website. Turn technical and operational updates into clear, community-friendly language. Coordinate community events and stakeholder meetings, from vendors and materials through on-site support and follow-up. Maintain event calendars, stakeholder inquiry logs, and team records. Track sponsorship and community program documentation and support research or other team priorities. What we’re looking for 2-4 years of experience in external affairs, communications, public affairs, community relations, or a related coordination role. Strong writing skills, with experience drafting external-facing materials. A writing sample may be requested. Professional experience coordinating events or logistics. Excellent organization and the ability to manage several deadlines at once. Confidence representing a company at community events and working with different stakeholders. A related bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience with stakeholder tracking tools, social media scheduling, corporate philanthropy, or data center, energy, and infrastructure environments is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr GTN Technical Staffing
