Job Overview


We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a full-time position in Baton Rouge, LA (70809). In this role, you will manage daily accounts payable functions, including matching purchase orders and receiving documents, processing vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Job Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Location: Baton Rouge, LA (70809)
Key Responsibilities
  • Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices to ensure accurate processing.
  • Enter invoices and supporting documentation into accounting software (Trimble Viewpoint/Vista).
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing issues in coordination with vendors and the purchasing department.
  • Print, verify, and mail vendor checks on scheduled payment cycles.
  • Review vendor account statements and respond promptly to payment inquiries.
  • Perform clerical error corrections and assist with answering main phone lines as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an office setting with accounts payable or general clerical exposure.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for vendor interactions.
  • Familiarity with Trimble Viewpoint/Vista software is a plus.
