Locums - Seattle, Washington, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opening Position Details
A facility in Seattle, Washington is seeking an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Emergency Medicine experience for locums coverage beginning July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Emergency Department caring for a broad range of medical cases with support from attending physicians and RN staff.
Providers should be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays in a medium- to high-acuity emergency setting.
Dates of CoverageJuly 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027
Current shift needs:
- 7 open shifts between now and August
- 10 shifts in September
- 70 shifts needed October through February
- Approx. 16 shifts per month
- Primarily night coverage:
- 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM
- 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Some day shifts as needed:
- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- Emergency Department
- Support staff: Registered Nurses
- EMR: EPIC
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients
- Collaborate with attending physicians to manage a wide spectrum of emergency conditions
- Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes
- Admissions per day: 8-14
- Patients per day: 8-14

- Low trauma volume
- Medium- to high-acuity patients
- Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required
- Active Washington license - Required
- Residency/Fellowship training - Required
- ACLS - Required
- BLS - Required
- PALS - Required
- DEA - Required
- NRP - Required
