About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead one of its senior living communities. The successful candidate will be the community leader, with a primary focus on creating a warm, compassionate, and secure atmosphere that promotes the independence and activity of all residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial, human resource, and operations management of the community, with the ultimate goal of maintaining a profitable operation. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all community departments, including resident care, business office, sales, culinary, housekeeping, activities, and maintenance. Building strong relationships with residents and families is essential, as is the ability to lead a large team and work closely with the Sales and Marketing Director to achieve 100% occupancy. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's senior living community should have a minimum of 3 years' management experience in the senior housing industry, with a preference for a college degree. Advanced computer skills, excellent communication, and a desire to work with senior adults are required. The role demands strong leadership skills, experience in financial management, and the ability to solve complex operational and personnel issues. The Executive Director must be available for on-call emergencies, work weekends and holidays as necessary, and be willing to obtain state administrator's certification if not already certified.
