Desert Highlands is looking for a friendly, welcoming, and service-focused Greeter to join our team! This position is often the first point of contact for our members and guests, making it an important part of creating a warm and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. We’re looking for someone who is positive, personable, professional, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. Come be part of the Desert Highlands family—we can’t wait to meet you! Primary Purpose The Greeter is often the first and last impression our Members and guests experience. This position plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience from the moment a Member arrives. The ideal candidate is friendly, polished, attentive, and genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome. As part of our Food & Beverage team, the Greeter helps set the tone for exceptional service and supports a positive, seamless experience throughout the dining operation. Essential Functions Warmly greet Members and guests as they arrive and provide a welcoming first impression. Assist Members and guests with seating, reservations, wait times, and general dining inquiries. Manage the entrance and seating area while maintaining an organized and professional appearance. Escort Members and guests to their tables and provide menus or other appropriate information. Communicate effectively with servers, managers, culinary team members, and other departments to support a smooth dining experience. Learns and develops a strong understanding of the Club Essentials member reservation system, including navigating online reservations, assisting members with bookings, and utilizing the system to support a seamless member experience. Monitor table availability and assist with coordinating seating flow. Answer phones and assist with basic questions, reservations, and requests in a friendly and professional manner. Recognize and acknowledge Members by name whenever possible. Maintain awareness of Member preferences and special occasions and communicate relevant information to the service team. Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming host/greeter area. Respond to Member and guest needs promptly and with a positive attitude. Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and excellent judgment when interacting with Members and guests. Support the Food & Beverage team wherever needed to provide exceptional service. Follow all Club policies, safety standards, and service expectations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Qualifications Warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing reservations and Member requests. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain composed in a busy dining environment. Strong team player who is willing to jump in and assist wherever needed. Previous restaurant, hospitality, country club, or customer service experience preferred.
