HR Benefits Coordinator

Join our team at Darling's Auto Group as we seek to add an HR Benefits Coordinator to our Human Resources department to assist in providing support to our 650+ employees.
WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER: - Voted one of the Top Ten Best Places to Work in Maine for the tenth year running - 100% Employee Owned - No Cost ownership that builds long-term value - Competitive compensation package - $58,000+, depending on experience - Generous PTO - 18 paid days off in first year, paid holidays - Health care options (medical, dental and vision), life and disability insurance - 401(k) savings and retirement plan with company match - Training, resources, and opportunities for career growth and advancement - Positive work culture built on integrity, professionalism, excellence and teamwork DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct new hire onboarding, background checks and employee eligibility verifications - Process benefit enrollments, IRS qualifying life events, and COBRA - Weekly payroll processing - Reconcile monthly billings from insurance providers - Process monthly billings from insurance providers - Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork, including PFML, FMLA, STD and LTD - Workers' Comp reporting and compliance - OSHA reporting REQUIREMENTS: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all employees - Working knowledge of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies - Ability to explain common benefit concepts to employees - Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail in managing employee, payroll, and benefits information - Maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion - Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel - Experience with UKG Ready HRIS and payroll software is a plus!
