Bilingual Benefits Customer Service Representative-Spanish or French – Bilingual Seasonal Colleague (Minneapolis) | 2026 Full-time Position Type: Non-Exempt Remote position, but must reside within 2 hours of Minneapolis for occasional in-office days. Candidate must be in the office on day one for equipment pickup. The Role As a Seasonal Bilingual Benefits Customer Service Representative you will help our Spanish or French and English client members through the enrollment process and when making updates to their health care and/or pension plans. Starting pay is $19.50/hr. During the busy season you will work a 40‑hour week, including overtime when requested. During initial training and off season, hours may fluctuate between 32 to 40 hours. This is a seasonal role; high performers may remain to assist on other clients and may be offered a full‑time opportunity within the organization. Key Responsibilities Build rapport and respond to Spanish or French speaking customers compassionately, accurately, and promptly via phone, email, and instant message. Customize service approach to meet diverse member communication styles while maintaining professionalism during difficult calls. Safeguard confidential information per HIPAA, data privacy laws, and company security requirements. Translate health, welfare, and pension terms into simple explanations for customers. Read and understand client plan documents and knowledge base tools; gather relevant information to address immediate requests and anticipate future needs. Demonstrate knowledge of company and client procedures; provide appropriate and accurate information. Maintain complete and accurate call and case notes in English. Participate in team meetings and training. Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff respectfully. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Excellent Spanish or French language skills. Fluency in both Spanish/French and English; able to translate calls into grammatically correct English notes. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a structured environment and adhere to posted schedules and standards. High attention to detail, multitasking, and organization. Proficient with Microsoft Office and multi‑window usage. Ability to work autonomously in a self‑paced, self‑motivated team environment. Comfortable with virtual environment, online training, and chat interactions. Follow oral and written instructions. Type 30 words per minute. Experience in a customer service environment. High school degree required. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of health and welfare or defined benefit pension plans. Experience in a call center environment.
