Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: State Licensure required Certifications: BLS required NRP required ACLS preferred PALS preferred National Accreditation through NBRC required Registered Respiratory Therapist highly preferred, CRT accepted Must-Have: Must be comfortable with attending high-risk deliveries Experience with Level 3 NICU/PICU High-risk delivery experience including intubation of neonates Airway and ventilator management experience ABG puncture and analysis Non-invasive ventilation experience Code Blue and rapid response experience Inhaled medication administration, including nitric oxide Description: The position requires the candidate to work through multiple campuses within a 20-25 minute driving distance. You will be responsible for caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses including COPD, CHF, flu, pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, and post-operative care. Experience with high-risk deliveries and supporting NICU/PICU is essential. Comfort with equipment such as Servo U, Servo I, Trilogy, and Vapotherm is necessary. You will need to perform airway management, including the administration of inhaled medications and responding to emergencies. Flexibility to float between different campuses is required. Weekend rotation includes every other weekend, and you will be expected to take call shifts as scheduled. You will receive orientation on transport equipment, documentation, and procedures. Additional opportunities for call shifts may be available voluntarily. Scrub color is pewter.
