S pecial Education Teacher (Mod/Severe) – Rocklin, CA
Seeking a new opportunity within a school district? Spindle proudly collaborates with an outstanding school district in Rocklin, CA in search of a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year!
Position Details:
- Discipline: Special Education (Mod/Severe)
- Dates: August 12, 2026 – June 7, 2027
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Caseload: Position will provide coverage for two maternity leaves. The assignment will begin in an Elementary ESN/Mod-Severe setting from August through November, then transition to a Middle School ESN/Mod-Severe setting from November through March. The position is expected to potentially extend through the end of the school year.
- Setting: Elementary and middle school Mod/Severe special education programs
Special Education Teacher Job Description:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities in an ESN classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students with academic, functional, communication, and behavioral goals
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school teams to support student progress
- Create a structured and supportive learning environment that meets diverse student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements
Pay & Benefits:

Requirements:
- Active California Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential (required)
- Must provide a screenshot of active California CTC credential at the time of submission
- 3 professional references required (must include first & last name, title, email, and phone number)
- Candidates will not be submitted without complete reference details
Interview Process:
- 10–15 minute screening call with a Spindle recruiter
- 20–30 minute virtual interview with the district
- Offer typically extended within 24–48 hours of the interview
