Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (Start times: 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every-other-weekend required | Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Room with 2 trauma bays and 1 decontamination room, averaging approximately 42 patients per 24-hour period
• Perform independent lab draws and IV placement; no IV team or dedicated nurse aides on unit
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and Phillips hard-wired telemetry monitoring at bedside and nurse's station
• Manage a patient assignment ratio of 1:3, caring for a diverse patient population including COVID, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric presentations, strokes, and traumas
• Collaborate with on-site ED physicians, mid-level providers, and in-house Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) for ventilator management, BiPAP, EKGs, ABGs, and breathing treatments
• Adhere to department scheduling made 4 weeks in advance; no floating outside of the Emergency Room

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Current PALS certification (required)
• Current TNCC certification (required)
• Valid, unexpired driver's license (copy must be submitted with application)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
• Experience managing trauma, stroke, or psychiatric emergency presentations
• Familiarity with ventilator-dependent patients and critical care monitoring in an emergency setting
