Medical Receptionist Role Overview

The Medical Receptionist operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs. Take and distribute accurate messages. Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintain visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee. Respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as our location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and/or email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages. The candidate/applicant/employee limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
• Experience with MS Outlook
• Experience with customer service / front desk work
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with HEDIS
• 1+ years of experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• 1+ years of experience in a geriatric setting

Medical Receptionist Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Scheduled 40 hours per week

We may require local travel; We reimburse mileage.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$38,000 - $45,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
