As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.If you enjoy staying active, working alongside a supportive team, and being part of a department that brings everyday moments of joy to our guests, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills and make an impact.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Support exceptional guest hospitality by providing friendly service, maintaining product presentation and department standards, and completing daily tasks that contribute to efficient store operations and sales growthDeliver friendly, helpful, and respectful service to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat businessPackage, label, stock, and display bakery products while maintaining quality, freshness, and food safety standardsPrepare and bake items such as but not limited to donuts, pastries, and cookies according to production schedules and standardsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in alignment with sanitation and food safety guidelinesAssist guests with product selection, recommendations, allergen information, and special ordersStock, rotate, and merchandise products using FIFO methods to minimize waste and maintain presentationOperate POS systems, scales, and related equipment accurately to support efficient transactionsMonitor inventory levels and communicate product needs, shortages, or quality concernsCollaborate with teammates across departments to support store operations and a positive team environmentFollow company policies, safety standards, and expectations, including participation in trainings and ongoing developmentRemain productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, or supporting other areas of the storeMinimum Qualifications:Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred: Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environmentsPreferred: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (certification a plus)Preferred: Experience with food preparation, baking, or kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, slicers)
