Registered Nurse (RN) - Imaging Services

Location: Ithaca, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Job Description: This professional position is responsible for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient services in imaging services. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services provided for patients. Given the dynamic nature of this position, the nurse will function as a procedure nurse while supporting the clinical needs of all patients utilizing Imaging services.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures with physicians and other groups as appropriate.
• Conduct preadmission nursing assessments, testing, and care.
• Provide post-procedure care and assessment for both inpatient and outpatient procedure patients.
• Establish and monitor standards of care to promote quality patient care.
• Support specific nursing needs in areas including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Facilitate breast biopsy processes and maintain lung navigation programs as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state.
• Completion of relevant competency exams and health screenings as per facility policies.
• Certification as required for specific imaging responsibilities.
