Revenue Planning Analyst for AI Research Project

Lead the creation and evaluation of high-quality revenue planning scenarios for a short-term research engagement with a frontier AI lab, using forecasting, variance analysis, and commercial reporting to reconcile and explain booked, billed, recognized, and collected revenue across finance, sales, and campaign systems.

• Create, review, and evaluate revenue planning scenarios and forecasts.
• Reconcile revenue and related data across finance, sales, and campaign systems, and identify data anomalies before they reach leadership.
• Differentiate and document booked, billed, recognized, and collected revenue with clear assumptions.
• Build budget-versus-actual reports and variance bridges, turning variance analysis into concise explanations of what happened, why, and next steps.
• Define margin and cost categories consistently, and perform profitability, cost-to-serve, and trend analysis.
• Contribute material that will be used as high-quality training data for frontier AI systems.
• Participate in live team sessions each working day and collaborate on a UK business-hours rhythm, responding to occasional evening messages when needed.

• Minimum 3 years experience in FP&A, revenue analytics, commercial finance, or business intelligence.
• Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills, including strong Excel capability.
• Proven experience with revenue and gross-margin forecasting.
• Experience preparing budget-versus-actual reporting and variance bridges.
• Ability to reconcile data across multiple systems and document assumptions clearly.
• Experience with profitability and cost-to-serve analysis, and communicating findings to leadership.

• Engagement dates: 10 August 2026 to 4 September 2026.
• Full-time commitment for the project period, following UK business hours.
• Live team sessions will occur every working day, with occasional evening messages.
• The role involves contributing work that will be used as training data for frontier AI research.
• The project provides two weeks of garden leave at the end of the engagement, and there is a one month non-compete that runs concurrently with that garden leave.
• Successful contributors are more likely to be considered for future project opportunities with the team.

• Hourly rate: 150 per hour.
