Roller Machine Operator / Machine Shop Assistant
Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, DOE
Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, M-F
Location: Channelview, TX 77530
Conduct API 2B cylinder forming and heavy plate/pipe rolling.
Set up and operate heavy roll machinery to form steel plates into cylindrical pipe structures and tubular products to required radii and specifications.
Adjust machine settings and material positioning to achieve required specifications.
Assist other machine operators and around the machine shop.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
Safely coordinate with forklifts and prepare rigging equipment to move materials and finished products.
Maintain material identification and traceability requirements.
Support production schedules, including overtime as needed.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling.
Qualifications and Skills:
2+ years of experience operating plate rolling equipment in a fabrication yard or manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience working in a pipe yard fabrication preferred, but shop/manufacturing environment will be considered.
Strong math and measurement skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling as required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
