Staff Accountant

Yona Solutions is a fast-growing, multi-state provider of facility support services with a strong mission to serve healthcare and senior living communities nationwide in environmental and nutrition services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The Senior Accountant will contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring compliance with US GAAP, policies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position will report to the Controller and will be on site 4 days each week in our Lake Forest, IL office. The position will be remote one day per week. Key Responsibilities Prepare & review month end digital binders Process reconciliations for balance sheet accounts Analyze financials for variances & trends Run, review, & compile month-end facility reports Review & analyze monthly vendor spend Review vendor statements & correspond with vendors Review & monitor import files from daily data feeds Monitor AP invoices via procurement & invoicing platforms Review & approve Concur expense reports Calculate & enter various close-related accruals Run, format, & review monthly COGS reports Review & manage intercompany balances Generate intercompany journal entries Process robust payroll imports and entries Import Workers’ Compensation files into NetSuite Prepare monthly sales tax reports Complete other tasks assigned by Finance Department and Management Skills and Requirements Minimum of five years of accounting experience, Accounting degree a plus Prior ERP experience, preferably NetSuite Strong MS Excel skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work across the organization including management Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment Self-starter, attention to detail, flexible team player with strong work ethics Yona Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
