Accounting Assistant GreatHorse Position Summary GreatHorse/Sonny's Place is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high level of accuracy, and can effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. Responsibilities Process full cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, general ledger distribution, entry into the ERP systems, and preparation of weekly check runs Support Accounts Receivable functions as needed Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records for posting to the general ledger Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems, both digital and physical Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors, clients, and internal team members to resolve issues Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Maintains reasonable, regular attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards. Adapt to changing duties, as required, based on business needs. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Equivalent work experience will be considered 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support experience preferred Basic Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel preferred Experience with accounting or ERP software is preferred Physical Demands Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) for most of the workday. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more or less than 30 pounds.
