Lead day-to-day fabrication and weld operations

Picture your day: you walk the floor to kick off a safe shift, align with engineering on a tooling tweak, and shuffle resources to meet an urgent customer commitment—all while coaching a diverse team to higher standards of quality, delivery, and cost. As our Fabrication & Welding Operations Supervisor, you coordinate equipment, facilities, people, and processes across multiple departments and/or shifts to keep production running smoothly.

• Champion safety and quality while organizing people and machines for maximum throughput and cost control.
• Hire, train, coach, and motivate team members; set expectations and manage performance; foster cooperation and strong morale.
• Anticipate and resolve production roadblocks (materials, downtime, repairs) with clear procedures that reduce lost time.
• Own schedules and staffing plans; coordinate production and testing activities across lines, departments, and possibly multiple shifts.
• Monitor costs, output, methods, and tooling; ensure effective use of hours, skills, equipment, and facilities.
• Partner with engineers to refine equipment and processes that improve safety, productivity, and product quality.
• Leverage data to estimate work-hour needs and department efficiency; launch and complete CI and cost-reduction projects with measurable results.
• Manage budgets and propose corrective actions to stay on plan.
• Verify incoming materials and finished goods meet quality requirements.
• Fulfill full supervisory responsibilities: interviewing and hiring, workforce planning, assigning work, performance management, compliance with EEO/AA, and department budgeting.

• Clear, confident communication and proven leadership in manufacturing or warehousing environments.
• Education/experience options: High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 3+ years in manufacturing with prior people-lead experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year in manufacturing.
• Background across multiple departments preferred.
• Hands-on experience driving continuous improvement and tangible cost savings.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and production/quality standards; ability to read/interpret blueprints and engineering drawings may be required based on location.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address personnel and production challenges.
• Computer proficiency with office tools and business systems such as SAP.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
• Fluency in English and the primary language used in your area/location.

Base salary range: $70,000–$90,000 USD, commensurate with experience. Actual pay within this range depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
