Managing Service Advisor

You must be able to write service, sell work, lead the front counter, manage workflow, support technicians, protect the customer experience, and help drive the store forward . Our Woodlands store is tracking over $3 million in annual sales and needs a front‑end leader who can help take it to the next level. What You’ll Do Write and sell repair orders as an active service advisor Present inspections, estimates, and repair recommendations clearly Maintain strong sales, gross profit, ARO, close ratio, and follow‑up Lead the front counter and help run the daily rhythm of the shop Coordinate communication between advisors, technicians, parts, and customers Monitor open repair orders, promise times, carryover vehicles, and customer updates Recover declined work, missed calls, unbooked opportunities, and unsold estimates De‑escalate customer issues professionally Help enforce workflow, communication, accountability, and shop standards Keep ownership informed without requiring the owner to manage day‑to‑day front counter problems What Must Be True About You You can sell needed work without sounding pushy or creating confusion You are strong with customers and clear in your communication You understand gross profit, ARO, close ratio, retention, and shop performance You can work with technicians without ego or drama You can hold people accountable professionally You stay calm under pressure You solve problems instead of creating them You want to earn based on production, leadership, and results You are comfortable being measured by performance Experience Required Automotive service advisor experience is required Leadership experience in a front‑counter or shop workflow role is strongly preferred Service manager, assistant service manager, fixed ops, dealership, independent repair, or high‑volume shop experience may be considered Experience in a $3M+ repair shop is preferred, but proven production and leadership matter more than title alone Compensation This is a high‑upside producing leadership role . Pay includes: Percentage of total shop gross profit Percentage of personal gross profit Monthly leadership KPI bonus opportunity Expected annual compensation for strong performance: $115,000–$145,000+ Higher income is possible for the right person.
