On-Call IT Program/Project Manager

AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.

AlphaGov is seeking an On-Call IT Program/Project Manager to lead task-order intake, resource assignment, schedule and budget management across on-call IT service categories for a major West Coast port authority engagement. You will be the primary point of contact for the client IM Division, own quality control and status reporting, and coordinate specialist resources (systems, network, cybersecurity, data/analytics, cloud) as task orders are issued.

What you'll do:

Intake and scope task orders; build staffing plans across specialty benches
Manage schedule, budget, and QC across concurrent on-call IT work
Serve as key personnel / primary client contact for the IM Division
Coordinate specialists and (as needed) certified small-business subconsultants
Produce status and QC reporting suitable for public-agency clients
Contribute IT PM qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned

Requirements

Required:

IT program/project management for public agencies or large organizations
On-call / task-order contract experience
Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites

Nice to have:

PMP
Port/maritime or municipal IT experience
California public-agency experience
2–3 relevant PM engagements you can cite (scope, dates, role)
