Java Lead with GCP

Backend Developer
Pay Range: $60/hr - $65/hr
Requirement/Must Have
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and service orchestration.
- Experience with retail systems such as POS, inventory, order management, or customer engagement platforms.
- Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms GCP.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead backend development efforts using Java Spring Boot and microservices.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across onsite and offshore locations.
- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Work closely with product owners and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Exposure to retail analytics and data pipelines.
- Certifications in Java, Spring, or cloud technologies.
