Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 4 Months with the Possibility of Extension
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $38.00/hour (determined by experience)
Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible)
Work Model: Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to support our client's Technical Support operations in Costa Mesa, CA. This position focuses on managing support tickets, monitoring customer response times, generating reports, and analyzing large datasets to improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong ticket management, data analysis, reporting, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with technical support teams in a fast-paced environment.

This role is well-suited for professionals with experience in technical support operations, customer service coordination, SQL reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and manage technical support tickets to ensure timely customer responses and issue resolution.
• Monitor ticket queues and support service-level agreement (SLA) expectations.
• Prioritize outstanding support requests and coordinate with technical personnel to ensure timely resolution.
• Generate and maintain operational reports using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar reporting tools.
• Analyze and organize large datasets to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Monitor support metrics and provide accurate reporting to team leads and management.
• Collaborate with technical support personnel to improve workflow efficiency.
• Ensure customer inquiries and support requests are properly tracked, addressed, and closed.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to ticket activity and support performance.
• Communicate ticket status, priorities, and operational concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling proprietary company and customer information.
• Support daily operational activities within the Technical Support organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical support teams and internal stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Experience with technical support operations, ticketing systems, or customer service environments preferred.
• Familiarity with service-level agreements (SLAs), ticket prioritization, and issue escalation preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or comparable SQL reporting tools preferred.
• Experience using Excel, reporting tools, or dashboards for data analysis preferred.
• Experience identifying process inefficiencies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
• Knowledge of alarm monitoring software or related technologies is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and customer information.
