Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Electronic Warfare and Airborne Sensors department within the Space and Air Sensors organization has an immediate opening for an Engineer II - Electronic Warfare Systems to support the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge Electronic Warfare (EW) technology and sensor systems for a suite of products across multiple programs. This position supports a variety of activities including but not limited to concept development, requirements management, and design oversight for RF systems, production support, failure analysis, supplier engagement, test planning and implementation, and/or system integration, verification, and validation (IV&V). This is an ONSITE Position in Fort Wayne, IndianaWhat You Will Do:System Development: Understand the customer’s functional/operational needs and participate in requirements decomposition, overseeing proper allocation of technical elementsSystem Integration & Test: Support system integration, test, design verification, fault identification, failure resolution, and/or acceptance of production hardwareProvide engineering support to lab test and qualification activities, providing engineering oversight to the test, evaluation, and analysis of issues pertaining to system hardware and firmware functionality and performanceProvide support for situations including (but not limited to) customer inquiries, field failures, product obsolescence, system enhancements, new product development, integration, and transition to productionEvaluate and assess the performance of developmental electronic warfare systems, including signal processing subsystemsMay be called upon to support bid and proposal efforts by providing labor estimations and/or material cost estimationsAble to balance multiple, varying commitments, exercising discretion and with moderately low direct oversightQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 2 years of prior relevant systems engineering, RF system design, digital and/or analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation analysis, and/or algorithm implementation and testing experienceExperience producing and presenting system design information and/or system test results to internal or external customers, demonstrated through past roles, deliverables, or project responsibilitiesWillingness to complete occasional business travel, up to 20%The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We Prefer:Experience with development, implementation, and test of RF jamming algorithmsMATLAB, PathWave ADS, and/or PathWave EMPro for simulation and design of RF systemsExperience writing software in C, C++, and/or Python, as demonstrated through prior engineering roles, project work, or technical deliverables.RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or test experience in the Electronic Attack (i.e., signals jamming) sub-domain of Electronic WarfareEmbedded systems and embedded programming. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
