Lunch/Playground Supervisors - 2 Positions Needed

Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor

Times/Days: Monday-Friday (Every day of student attendance)-10:30am-1:30 pm. Pay Rate: $20.47/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong personal skills which foster good working relationships with students and staff members
• Aptitude and physical ability to perform assigned duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Escorts children to and from the classroom, the playground, and lunchroom
• Supervises students on the playground and in the lunchroom with special attention given to special needs students, and students with behavior problems
• Assists students with equipment on the playground
• Assists students with utensils, etc. in the lunchroom
• Assists students, including picture taking if requested, on special days (i.e., Citizen of the Month)
• Remains in the classroom with the students for recess during inclement weather
• Assumes other responsibilities within the scope of the job as determined by the building administrator, or any duties assigned in extraordinary situations

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud at times. Standing approximately 60% and for periods of up to 30 minutes required. Walking approximately 40% for periods of up to 30 minutes. Must be able to navigate a school playground area, which might include wood chips, grass, concrete, or other similar surfaces. The position is sometimes performed in temperatures as low as zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit, wind, light rain, sun and heat, etc. This position is Non-Exempt and paid an hourly rate established annually by the Board of Education. No benefits.
