Overview
Our client is seeking a driven, experienced, and dynamic Logistics Sales Specialist to join their growing team. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and bring a strong ability to build relationships, negotiate profitable deals, and drive new business. This role is ideal for someone who wants to own and grow a book of business while making a direct impact on company success.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Business Development
- Identify, target, and develop new customer relationships through outbound calls, messaging, and in-person meetings
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
Negotiation & Deal Execution
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers & carriers
- Execute profitable deals while building long-term partnerships
Sales Performance
- Meet and exceed monthly sales goals and revenue targets
- Grow and manage a book of business in a competitive market
Market Awareness
- Stay informed on market trends, lane activity, capacity, and pricing
- Leverage market knowledge to maximize profitability
Collaboration
- Partner with internal operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution
- Contribute insights to support overall business growth
Freight & Service Offerings
- General Freight (Dry Van, Flatbed, Reefer)
- LTL
- Sprinter Vans & Box Trucks
- Hazmat
- Over-Dimensional Freight
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation sales preferred
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Tech-savvy with experience using CRM and/or TMS platforms
- Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a team environment
Compensation Structure
- Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
- Commission based on monthly Gross Profit
- Salary paid weekly
- Commission paid monthly
