Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) Responsibilities: Preparepatients for radiologic procedures and protect patient, selfand other staff from radiation and other safety hazards. Selectproper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis using the principles of ALARA and adjusts and sets radiographic controls. Takex-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety to includeproper infection control procedures for the work area. Evaluateradiographs and repeatas needed. Processradiographs using the operating system andsendimages. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to verify orders, document x-ray releases, route imaging reports to patient charts, and other associated patient care functions. Workwith radiologist and imaging center staff to coordinate the exchange of images and information for optimal patient care and result reporting. Prepare CD copies for patientsand other specialty/imaging centers. As needed, preparethe work area for stock and cleanliness while starting up all x-ray or computer units as per department protocol. RadiologicTechnologist (X-Ray) Education/experience: Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in science/radiologic technology or equivalent certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program One to three years related experience and/or training as a radiologic technologist in either a hospital or a medical practice environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. New York State license in diagnostic radiography American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required If hired as Graduate Technologist a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and must pass licensing exam within 120 days of beginning employment Position Requirements Associate's degree (A. This PCP/Primary Care Physician will maintain an ongoing relationship with the patient and will then always be in charge of their care. They will oversee the care team that consists of nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Diabetic Educators who might interact with the patients when they visit the office. Our care team will work towards ensuring that the patients receive the appropriate age-related preventative testing and treatment as well as the latest evidence-based treatment (proven and documented) for their individual medical condition(s).
