Insurance and Reinsurance Attorney

Job Description

A law firm is seeking Associates to join its Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation practice group. The team represents insurers in complex, high-exposure coverage and reinsurance matters, including disputes under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers (D&O) insurance policies.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Handle complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters.
\n
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
\n
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
\n
• Manage depositions, hearings, and court appearances (commensurate with experience).
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues while working independently as needed.
\n
• Build client relationships and contribute to business development, where applicable.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 4+ years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
\n
• Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.
\n
• Familiarity with professional liability, general liability, and D&O coverage.
\n
• Litigation experience across discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case management preferred.
\n
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
