Verovian is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a high-performing surgical team within a respected 300-bed non-profit medical center in the greater Nashville area.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across cardiac, vascular, and thoracic specialities, combining operative, inpatient, and clinic responsibilities within a collaborative and structured surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical experience, including first assisting in the operating room, and thrive in a multidisciplinary care setting.

Job specification

First assist in surgical procedures across cardiac, vascular, and thoracic specialties
Provide inpatient floor management and post-operative patient care
Conduct patient assessments, follow-ups, and clinic visits
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Support continuity of care throughout the surgical patient journey
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure quality patient outcomes

Candidate requirements

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), or eligibility to obtain licensure

Proven surgical experience with first assisting in the operating room required

Exposure to cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery is strongly preferred

Strong clinical judgement and ability to work within a collaborative surgical model

New graduates considered only with endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) experience
