Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU/PCU setting within a Critical Access Hospital, with the ability to float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
• Identify patient and family education needs and deliver appropriate education using suitable modalities.
• Implement and maintain patient safety measures including proper use of side rails, restraints, and equipment; follow and document restraint policy correctly.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, patient responses, and charges throughout assigned shift.
• Process and verify physician orders in a timely manner, including 24-hour order checks as applicable to assigned shift; report critical lab values to the physician per policy.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using standard precautions; maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience in ICU, PCU, Telemetry, and/or Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe operation and basic troubleshooting of clinical equipment used in PCU/Telemetry/Medical-Surgical settings.
• Ability to deliver complete and accurate shift-change reports and communicate effectively across departments.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Critical Access Hospital environment.
• Comfort and flexibility floating between ICU/PCU and Medical-Surgical units.
