Position Overview

The Director of Manufacturing will oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficient operations and the delivery of top-quality products. This role involves leading a team of manufacturing professionals, optimizing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet company objectives while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute plans toenhance manufacturing efficiency and achieve production targets alignedwith organizational goals.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and train a teamof manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability,collaboration, and high performance.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement processimprovements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and streamlineoperations.
• Quality Assurance: Champion a quality-focusedculture, integrating Lean Six Sigma tools and practices to ensure productexcellence.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevantindustry regulations and standards governing manufacturing and productsafety.
• Cost Management: Oversee budgets, monitorexpenses, and drive cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with departments such asR&D, supply chain, and finance to support broader company objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote best practices andemployee engagement to sustain a culture of operational excellence.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs toassess performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Risk Management: Proactively address potentialoperational risks to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineeringor Operations Management (Master's in Business Administration orEngineering preferred); 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience,including 5+ years in a senior role.
• Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Proven success with Leanprinciples (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Technical Skills: Strong engineering backgroundwith expertise in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and high-volumeproduction management.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatedmanufacturing environments and compliance with standards like GMP and FDAregulations.
• Leadership: Experience managing teams,optimizing labor resources, and implementing training programs.
• Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, costanalysis, and financial forecasting.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal andtechnical communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advancedmanufacturing technologies, such as automation or robotics.
• Background in consumer goodsproduction processes.
