Plant Accountant

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team supporting plant operations. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to continue developing their career while gaining exposure to cost accounting, inventory, month‑end close, financial analysis, and plant‑level operations. Key Responsibilities Participate in month‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, and cost analysis initiatives Analyze operating costs and assist with variance reporting Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules Assist with fixed asset and equipment tracking activities Support budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis efforts Participate in internal control processes and identify opportunities for process improvements Collaborate with operations leadership to support inventory, production, and capital expenditure initiatives Assist with special projects and continuous improvement efforts as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment Strong general ledger and month‑end close experience Understanding of financial statements and cost accounting concepts Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Self‑motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow professionally Additional Information Hybrid schedule with flexibility Bonus eligible position Collaborative team environment with opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement Ideal opportunity for an accounting professional seeking long‑term career growth within a stable and growing organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
