Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Energy Marshal to support large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the Phoenix, Arizona market.

This is a critical project leadership opportunity for an experienced electrical safety professional responsible for controlling and coordinating the safe energization of complex electrical systems throughout construction, commissioning, and turnover.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical construction background, understands electrical safety and energization protocols, and can coordinate contractors, commissioning teams, operations personnel, and project leadership around energized systems and hazardous-energy controls.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage project energization and electrical safety processes.

Develop, implement, and enforce energization plans, procedures, and protocols.

Coordinate the safe energization of electrical equipment and systems throughout construction and commissioning.

Manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes and hazardous-energy control procedures.

Maintain visibility and control over energized and potentially energized systems throughout the project.

Coordinate with electrical contractors, MEP teams, commissioning personnel, vendors, operations teams, and client representatives.

Review energization schedules and ensure all prerequisites are satisfied prior to equipment or system energization.

Participate in electrical safety planning, risk assessments, pre-energization meetings, and field inspections.

Verify required documentation, testing, inspections, and approvals before energization activities occur.

Maintain accurate energization records, permits, logs, system status documentation, and turnover information.

Identify electrical safety risks and ensure corrective actions are completed before work proceeds.

Support commissioning, startup, integrated testing, and final turnover of electrical infrastructure.

Promote a strong culture of electrical safety and accountability throughout the project.

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical construction, electrical safety, commissioning, mission-critical, or related experience.

Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction practices.

Data center or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred.

Experience with electrical energization, LOTO, hazardous-energy control, and electrical safety procedures.

Knowledge of applicable electrical safety standards and industry best practices.

Ability to read and understand electrical one-lines, drawings, specifications, and system documentation.

Experience coordinating energized systems in an active construction environment.

Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively with electrical contractors, commissioning teams, operations personnel, and project leadership.

Travel flexibility preferred based on project requirements.
