We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.Job Description:This is a part-time position that supports our lab services team at our location in Covington, LA.Scope: Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare for processing by the laboratory. Greet and receive all patients in a professional, warm, and efficient manner. Utilizing the laboratory software; register patients into the system for proper specimen processing. Make sure to maximize in-house lab processing.Essential Functions:1. Perform venipuncture on patients in both a timely and professional manner.2. Verify lab orders are available and patients are registered.3. Process specimens for internal and external processing.4. Management of lab areaQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduate of a phlebotomy training programPhlebotomy Certification or Laboratory Assistant Certification highly preferred2 years' experience in a lab required; oncology experience preferred.
