Travel Nurse PositionMinimum experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted. Patient population: adults to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS. General skills and work setting requirements: renal med surg. Ratio/census: 1:5-6; 49 rooms with average daily census of 48. Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR. Scrub color: navy blue. RTO: MAX 7 days. Weekends: every other weekend unless specified elsewhere. Floating: yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed. Call requirements: none. Holidays: if one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one), New Years Eve/New Years Day (counts as one).
