Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to direct, coordinate, and to supervise activities concerned with operations and maintaining the warehouse at the Westfield facility.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities· Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes to satisfy our customers’ needs.· Ensures compliance of guidelines and objectives.· Plan, direct, supervise, and perform duties within all operations for the Westfield warehouse. This includes supervising personnel, operating machinery, and performing physical labor.· Reviews master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, and revises schedule according to projects, work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.· Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as linear operators, burn operators, production welders, fabricators, material handlers, and packaging department· Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to customer specifications.· Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or services, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.· Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.· Contribute to the completion and effectiveness of training plans, cross training, and training events.· Supports in assessing performance, monitoring progress, and addressing issues and concerns.· Support in mentoring, coaching, and guiding associates through challenges, tasks, and activities with the vision of motivating others to complete their job effectively.· Complete hourly quality checks and observe daily functions in operations.· May assist Production Manager or other Supervisors in other duties or special projects as needed.NOTE: The duties and responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this position. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding/disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Working Environment and Conditions· Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb up to 15 feet high, the employee is regularly required to be in a stationary position, reach with hands and arms, and be able to communicate verbally and in writing and take direction. The employee is frequently required to move about the buildings and be in a stationary position. The employee frequently operates heavy equipment and office equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.· Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
