Job Overview Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Franklin, Virginia. Key Details Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 40 hours Shift: 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Employment Type: Travel Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital with primarily outpatient clinic service and occasional inpatient/same‑day surgery coverage. Shift days: Monday through Friday. Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On‑call: Every 4th weekend on call for inpatient coverage, as scheduled. Typical caseload: Approximately 7‑8 patients per day. Floating: May be required to provide coverage to other units within the facility. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Physical Therapist license required in the state of Virginia upon submittal. Candidates with an active Virginia license or ability to obtain one will be considered. BLS/CPR certification required from AHA or ARC. Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings. Comfortable evaluating and treating primarily outpatient caseloads. Experience treating adults across the lifespan, including geriatric patients; pediatric experience preferred but not required. Ability to manage a typical caseload of approximately 7‑8 patients per day. Willingness to provide occasional coverage for small med/surg units and same‑day surgery (total knees) as needed. On‑call availability as scheduled. Current coverage expectation: approximately every 4th weekend on call for inpatient needs. Maintain required certifications and credentials in good standing. Specialty certifications such as OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women’s Health are preferred but not required. Location Highlights Franklin, VA offers a compact downtown, riverfront access, and nearby state parks for outdoor recreation. The city sits on the Blackwater River and provides access to boating and fishing within a 10‑minute drive to the riverfront, and the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is approximately 20 miles away for hiking and birdwatching.
