Dental Assistant

• Pay Rate: $26/hr - $28/hr

• Location: Pierce County, WA (home clinic assigned based on residence; floating required between clinic locations)

• Schedule: 4x10 day shift, may include Saturdays

• Contract Length: 700 hrs worked

• Start Date: 08/10/2026

Key Responsibilities & Environment

• Provide chairside dental assisting support during patient procedures.

• Take bitewing and periodic X-rays.

• Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and treatment rooms.

• Operate suction equipment and assist providers during procedures.

• Support temporary fillings and temporary crown procedures.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Assist with patient flow and daily clinic operations.

• Participate in the Dental Sealant Program, supporting school-based clinics and preventative dental care initiatives for children.

Requirements

• Active Washington State Dental Assistant License.

• Minimum one year of Dental Assistant experience.

• Adaptable and flexible with changing schedules and work locations.

• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.

The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize dental tools, and assist during any dental procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Current License/Certificate within state of practice

• One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
