Job Title: General Ledger Accountant Job Code: 40262 Job Location: Norfolk, VA or Palm Bay, FL or Rockwall, TX Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: The General Ledger Accountant will work collaboratively with the team to record, analyze, and reconcile accounting transactions for supported business units. Support multiple business units across the US by delivering general ledger and financial reporting services. Essential Functions: Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across multiple locations and time zones Demonstrate strong accounting knowledge while working independently or as part of a team with general supervision Collaborate with business partners to deliver efficient, accurate, and compliant accounting Research accounting issues and recommends corrective actions Review transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment Perform month-end close activities to meet reporting deadlines Prepare routine journal entries and general ledger reconciliations Develop and document processes as needed Support internal and external audit requests Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Proficiency with Deltek CostPoint strongly preferred Public accounting or auditing experience strongly preferred CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Strong analytical and research skills Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx is a plus Experience with continuous improvement and process development In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $55,000 -$102,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
